things didn't really kick off well today. i mean, it all began with me forgetting to bring my ORA collection card already.
then i left for badminton competition (quarter finals last round robin match) and we had this prep talk thing with one of the PE teachers then he asked us to lie down on the gym floor and relax cuz we had to do breathing exercises to "calm our nerves" and he played really soothing music. so duh, sleep-deprived me fell asleep when he was asking us to do all sorta weird things with our lungs and chest cavity space blah blah. yea so after all that he asked us to sit up and everyone sat up, except me, of course, considering that i was fast asleep. so then bryan lim whacked my and he woke me up. it was really embarrassing cuz i sat up and went, "what"! then everyone was laughing cuz i really fell asleep. and even people like cheng yuen laughed at me lol. yea, embarrassing incident number 2.
after that i went for competition at tampines and we played against monfort who are really strong (cuz they import players from all over the world) yea. so considering that we were already into the semifinals (cuz we won all other quarter final round robin matches), coach said that we could throw this game. after all, we could take both boon lay or sports school (the other quarter final group). so we sent in our reserves to "show that they can play as well as the main team players" as quoted from the PE teacher as mentioned above. yea. so we lost 5-0. but we could tell that monfort was kinda scared playing with us. bad incident no 3.
ok digression now. yea since the monfort team imported so many players and since all the imports were like playing their 3rd/4th year in B div badminton, so i did a really long commentary on them and their character ( as i shall launch into now). i think that the imports are really devoid of any pride, dignity and all. firstly, their main aim coming to singapore is to play badminton. i mean, what's the use of winning trophies after trophies if you don't even garner the respect of the people you play with? many players in the team have stayed on for many years, hoping to win monfort that every bit of extra medals but where's their pride man? do they really wish to come over here and waste their life away playing badminton with shuttlers way below their age group? or is the satisfaction really there when they triumph over locally groomed talents? nah, i'm just complaining about why all people are born with pride and dignity but only some choose to keep it.
back to my point, yea after that the b div main players went back to ri for trng. yea and then coach decided to change our team line up for the game against sports school which we will be playing in the semis on fri. so kh went up to play singles and i partnered my gool ol' partner BRYAN! yea other than this more than happy thing (bryan, feel honoured), he scolded the two doubles. (bryan and i, keat kee and js) yea he said that he couldnt see fire in us and we were playing really dead. and he ended off with the usual "AIYA DO WHAT YOU WANT LA! I DONT CARE ABOUT YOU GUYS ANYMORE" yea. so that kinda sucked. considering our season is peaking now and that my performance is peaking now too. bad incident number 4.
after that, when bryan and i played with keat kee and js, we noticed smth strange about them. shall not elaborate about my team mates.
ribt really rocks so dun judge us.
but anyway, that was bad thing number5.
oh and after trng i also realised that i started perspiring a lot nowadays so i was like "oooooh right" then i untied my show laces and found that my insoles were really worn out due to friction from playing too much badminton. so mr sarkunan kindly decided to help me purchase new insoles soon. like tomorrow. so shall be waiting for that!
yea. today was kinda sad la. sighh
