Take heart, for we fought the better fight and won
Hey RIBT
We may have lost the gold to Monfort, but hey, we won the better fight. Today, so many things happened in such a blur we just have to take time to think about all these stuff. I keep referring to "won the better fight" so i'd better explain. I mean, ya sure, we lost the gold man. But we lost with pride. We walked outta the court, regardless of loss or win, with dignity. We held our heads high. We did our best and played our hearts out. We never looked back. Winning or losing doesn't really matter, now that we can tell ourselves, we didn't let ourselves down. That's most crucial, don't you think? So we lost, but the better fight, of respect, or honour, or pride, or glory. RIBT, we had it all today. So i'm glad we aren't walking outta this finals, knowing we didn't give our best in the court just now. We did. And we are proud of it.
Cheng Yuen: Just want to say a job well done for boosting the team's morale by taking the first point for RI just now. It really helped the rest of the team up their game. You really are an asset to the team and i hope you'll remain bonded with the team. Nice game just now with sleek shots and cool smashes!
Jey Sng: Hey it was nice knowing that we two went in there today and outperformed outselves man. Glad to know we had what it takes. Just gotta believe in ourselves huh? Will never forget this game i played with you for life. This was the first game i ever shouted so much in the match man. I'm actually surprised i had so much fire in me. Hope it was recorded so we can watch our game happily haha. Apart from the first game, i'm sure that was a match worth remembering. Hope this last finals can serve as inspiration for your future badminton (tennis) career haha.
Elvis: Hey it was good seeing you fight all out against Andrianus. I dun really know how to spell his name but ohwell. Ya hope you gained experience from that match and improve your game from now on!
Kern Hong and Keat Kee: Hey guys, it's alright! Seriously, we're a team so we don't blame you guys. Besides, it was heartening to see both of you "soh-ing" on court. You guys played beautifully, and you played your best. No regrets man. Get over this defeat and move on. Kern Hong, read the poster on your wall. haha. It's a poster which means something to us right now.
Roy: Hey though everyone was really disheartened after the second doubles lost, i felt really proud of you that you were still able to play one of your best games. Good luck in the future.
Ya to the rest of B Div, Sam Tan, Shi Jie, Isryad, Bryan, Leon, be proud of this awesome team man heh. Thanks for all the support you gave today and every other day from sec one onwards. For all the supporters who went down, hope we didn't disappoint too much!
Looking back, i really can't believe it's the end of my RIBT season days. Perhaps it's a cliche, but it really seems just yesterday that i rushed down to the old ri hall for dsa trials after higher chinese. I'll definitely remember this team and hope you juniors remember the sec4s too heh. C Div, it's your turn to shine now so train hard! We'll go down to help train you for your matches ahead!
Ya time for some reflection for me now. I've gotta get into a reflective mood now to envisage the time spent in RIBT over the past 4 years.
Seeyou la. And once again, take heart for we fought the better fight and won.

Finals tomorrow and we're gonna get the gold
Hey all shuttlers from RIBT, this post is specially dedicated to you guys man.
It's the finals tomorrow. We've been training so damn hard, taking so much shit (from You-Know-Who) and stepping up our game so much for the past years. Just wanna say, tomorrow, focus on doing your best and not on winning. Cuz the colour of the medal we get tomorrow doesn't really matter to us right? After all, the process is more important than the end product. I'm sure we guys emerge a team which holds one of the most special places in our hearts.
Ya so I'm just saying, whatever happens tomorrow, enjoy yourself and everyone in the team will be 100% behind us so take solace in that, if all else fails.
I came in in Secondary One, and truthfully, I never thought I'd be so attached to this team. We didn't have to do what we did for the team, but I'm just glad we did.
So tomorrow's SHOWTIME! Let's play our hearts out for this last finals (for the Sec 4s) we will ever have in RIBT, and show Monfort what our hearts are made of, show them what it took for us to get this far. Good luck to all of you, I'm certain we'll shine tomorrow, as Raffles Badminton!
P.S: can someone bring a good camera to take remembrance shots of our team? especially for the sec4s cuz this is our last game. i expect it to be quite, quite sentimental. heh.

finals on tues and some other stuff
Hi samching and krystel. you two should be doing work haha.
anyway, ya this post comes a bit late but we are in the finals! oh yea man. in the semis ribt beat sports school 3-2 and overall, we played quite well. finals against monfort on tues so the whole team's gearing up for that one. those injured shuttlers, must go and rest la. those sick ones, go take panadol or smth.
it's kinda sad knowing that this is gonna be our last finals representing ribt and though we've always been grumbling that we wanna get outta this team fast and all (cuz of the coach), it's really sad now that we know tuesday's drawing near. this is nothing to do with the team man. it's a special team which has given us lotsa memories to treasure.
oh by the way, i found out that i am "happy", one of the seven little dwarfs, in a facebook retarded quiz. this i find quite true.
hi bryan, who is reading my blog now. i think you're retarded.

it's kinda sad, today
things didn't really kick off well today. i mean, it all began with me forgetting to bring my ORA collection card already.
then i left for badminton competition (quarter finals last round robin match) and we had this prep talk thing with one of the PE teachers then he asked us to lie down on the gym floor and relax cuz we had to do breathing exercises to "calm our nerves" and he played really soothing music. so duh, sleep-deprived me fell asleep when he was asking us to do all sorta weird things with our lungs and chest cavity space blah blah. yea so after all that he asked us to sit up and everyone sat up, except me, of course, considering that i was fast asleep. so then bryan lim whacked my and he woke me up. it was really embarrassing cuz i sat up and went, "what"! then everyone was laughing cuz i really fell asleep. and even people like cheng yuen laughed at me lol. yea, embarrassing incident number 2.
after that i went for competition at tampines and we played against monfort who are really strong (cuz they import players from all over the world) yea. so considering that we were already into the semifinals (cuz we won all other quarter final round robin matches), coach said that we could throw this game. after all, we could take both boon lay or sports school (the other quarter final group). so we sent in our reserves to "show that they can play as well as the main team players" as quoted from the PE teacher as mentioned above. yea. so we lost 5-0. but we could tell that monfort was kinda scared playing with us. bad incident no 3.
ok digression now. yea since the monfort team imported so many players and since all the imports were like playing their 3rd/4th year in B div badminton, so i did a really long commentary on them and their character ( as i shall launch into now). i think that the imports are really devoid of any pride, dignity and all. firstly, their main aim coming to singapore is to play badminton. i mean, what's the use of winning trophies after trophies if you don't even garner the respect of the people you play with? many players in the team have stayed on for many years, hoping to win monfort that every bit of extra medals but where's their pride man? do they really wish to come over here and waste their life away playing badminton with shuttlers way below their age group? or is the satisfaction really there when they triumph over locally groomed talents? nah, i'm just complaining about why all people are born with pride and dignity but only some choose to keep it.
back to my point, yea after that the b div main players went back to ri for trng. yea and then coach decided to change our team line up for the game against sports school which we will be playing in the semis on fri. so kh went up to play singles and i partnered my gool ol' partner BRYAN! yea other than this more than happy thing (bryan, feel honoured), he scolded the two doubles. (bryan and i, keat kee and js) yea he said that he couldnt see fire in us and we were playing really dead. and he ended off with the usual "AIYA DO WHAT YOU WANT LA! I DONT CARE ABOUT YOU GUYS ANYMORE" yea. so that kinda sucked. considering our season is peaking now and that my performance is peaking now too. bad incident number 4.
after that, when bryan and i played with keat kee and js, we noticed smth strange about them. shall not elaborate about my team mates.
ribt really rocks so dun judge us.
but anyway, that was bad thing number5.
oh and after trng i also realised that i started perspiring a lot nowadays so i was like "oooooh right" then i untied my show laces and found that my insoles were really worn out due to friction from playing too much badminton. so mr sarkunan kindly decided to help me purchase new insoles soon. like tomorrow. so shall be waiting for that!
yea. today was kinda sad la. sighh

Ok this is gonna be damn embarassing but here goes...
After several months of non-blogging, I finally decided to pick up the pen (the keyboard) and start again. However, on this fateful day, i forgot my username and password for this blog. How unfortunate. Well, all is well cuz i sent blogger countless emails requesting for the username of this blog and they finally gave in, how quaint.
!! >
THE CIRCLE" whose friendship progress is definitely classified as "MURKY". Yea. these people sprung a "surprise birthday party" last year despite addled with bad acting and a bad cast :P Other than that, it was pretty enjoyable at the theme park watching Daron cry when he saw Desmond and I sitting for some damn daring ride and he puked. (you did right?) yea and i received some really random cards. As i will be showing you in the later pictures. Ok this is weird. The four following shots are all tilted. So tilt your heads too -.-

Yea. This is Wei Lun's card for me. It's the four sides can open kinda card.. Kinda kiddy but very nice! Thanks!
Ok this is Daron Tan's card. It is very black and really cool. Oh there's a picture of me and him really retarded at the front. Dunno if you guys can see it. Inside, there're all sorta colours. Cuz he used all sorta pen inks. And he had no space to sign off so he used an up arrow. Wth.
I swear this was on purpose -.-
Yea this is Greg's. It is from IKEA. wth. and i got scammed at first when i saw the picture behind of Eiffel Tower. ><

Kailun's! He is so unconventional. Talk about
subverting expectations man. Yea guess. He MADE me a bday card in the form of a girl. And in it, he says he made this cuz "YOU ARE SUCH A FLIRT", quote unquote. Sigh. Why is this happening to me?

Err. Random.
ARGH IM TIRED. took how long to do this. waste time. could have done some other stuff which are much more productive. Will post another time about my chinese speech i wrote.
