It's my first post
Hello people from Earth! My name is Shayne Tan and this is my first blog post of the year! Ok actually of my life but everyone goes through "first times" right? Yea so here's an update on what happened recently.
Orientation Camp
Ok Orientation camp was quite ok though there were hell lot of last minute changes. There were proposals and proposals spanning a month or two before and then last minute changes wiped out everything. So sad. But the Secondary Ones were a pretty enthusiastic batch! We asked for one volunteer and presto! there were like twenty. lol. I was the SPSL for 1J who is obsessed about paus like char siew pau, tau sar pau, da pau and hell lotta other paus. So you can imagine me being pretty shocked when i heard they wanted to create a pau cheer. And during recess, they saw the snacks stall (which sells paus) and they got so excited that they wanted me to treat them to a pau recess but hell no! let me do some maths. one pau costs 50cents. so treating around 10 people will costs around $5 and treating 31 people will mean a hole in my pocket cuz i will have spent $15++ dollars on tau sar paus. Wth. Already, i can think of a million things to spend on rather than tau sar paus. Anyway, tau sar paus aside, i took some pictures of 1J people using my phone which i bet is super pixelated but anyway. Here goes.

Ok so this is the picture that i made with glowsticks (idea stolen from 1J people, but they made their '1J' sign so horrifyingly ugly that i just felt compelled to make another nicer one) yea. So cool right.
Oh and this is the picture that i took after around 6 people slogged their hearts out creating this during sentry duty! Unfortunately my phone isnt that good and all so i only managed a blur shot of this. Quite cool la.
These two people are 2 out of 31 of my Sec Ones. Actually i only managed to take 2 of them cuz the i was standing at one side of the Audi and i couldnt reach the other side of the class in time. (it was after JRIC so everybody was rushing home) yea was taking the one on the left then (as you see his face is blurred) the right one came crashing in and got into the photo. Left one's Andre and right one's Ben Ban.

Ok me and Ben. Sigh didnt manage to take with other people.
Yea anyway, the whole camp was obsessed with Kai Lun (another PSL who's a tad plump and looks like Santa) (or his obese reindeer) cuz his class thought his CCA was Rugby which obviously is not. It's actually CO. ie Chinese Orchestra. and he plays the sheng, which is half his size haha! Yea then after the chanting of Kailun's name, 1J decided they wanted to chant "Shayne Tan" which they did for around 2minutes and along the way, i found it so awkward so i chanted along too. However, it failed as you see, when you chant my name fast, it sounds a little like "sian dan" so yea. Oh i forgot! Yea due to the "grace" or otherwise, of Hao Zhi, Max, Ben Goh and some other people, my whole class thinks I'm a HUMONGOUS FLIRT. which is unfortunately bad. And Sylwan (another Sec1J guy) actually went to ask Mrs Chong (1J's FT) about it so i was kinda embarrassed. Yea so after they chanted "Shayne Tan", they started chanting "one of my 7girlfriends' name" which i will not say. And i actually almost died on the spot cuz i was so horrified that they acutally did that. So everybody around was actually laughing their heads off. -.- thanks guys. Yea thankfully it stopped after about 2 minutes. Whew.
Ok there are lotsa things i wanna say about Orientation Camp which was seriously damn fun, albeit the last minute changes, but i have to move on.
JRIC
Junior Rafflesians Investiture Ceremony! This was damn good. It was after Raffles Trail which was after school. But first, Raffles Trail. The plan was for every station to take 5 minutes but obviously, everyone exceeded and as a result we didnt finish everything. Oh well. After that at around 430. We went back to class (1J) and started changing back into school uniform and putting on ties. Wth. ALMOST THE WHOLE CLASS DIDNT KNOW HOW TO PUT ON THEIR TIES. So clement and i tied ties for them until our hands were suan. and there was this guy whom i tied the tie for. Tied it for him for 3 times and he took it from me and tried to tighten it around his neck and somehow it came loose.
Then we went to the audi for a 30min rehearsal with Mrs Maas at bay! haha. she was a little screamish but handled the situation very well. Then we proceeded down to the hall where everyone was waiting for the sec1s. we walked down the walkway and we could see a thousand flashes of light from cameras so it was a bit dazzling. But the rocket on stage was really astronomical (haha) and the event was damn well planned! Kudos to Chen Tian who was overall IC.
Jiang
After JRIC, i rushed down to Bugis to Jiang for tuition and met Bryan and Elvis there! (badminton team mates) I went into the little corridor where my class was and i didn't see them at first. Then Bryan came in and looked straight at me (so he says) but i didnt see him still. So he went out. Then after a while i went out and i saw them finally! Then they said im damn blur cuz i didnt see them but hey! i really didnt see them! you know bryan went into the corridor but he didnt call me? then they were laughing like mad. that i was blur. edit. am blur.
after the blur fiasco, we went into class and we then realised that all the RGS girls quit. Then there were two new girls whom elvis said were ugly haha. wont tell you what i thought. Meanwhile, bryan was busy admiring our laoshi who taught us for 3 years. He really admires the laoshi and even noticed her change in hairstyle and clothes. so and these two premises, i conclude that bryan has a crush on laoshi who is, mind, around 20+ years older than us. sigh bryan. go for old women.
halfway through the lesson, when i took my pen out, i realised that it had run out of ink so i was telling that to a few hwa chong guys and elvis and bryan who then thought i was the randomest guy they've ever met. i don't think so though. i just saw my inkless pen and i just told them. that is not random. i just happened to say that when laoshi was talking rubbish.
ok this is damn tiring. my first blog post. so long. and so wordy. but got 4 pictures. and i hope im not rambling. and i will probably blog like once a month so see you guys on the 10th of feb. byebye.
